Royal Jelly Jive: Blues Breaker
Royal Jelly Jive is a young enthusiastic band out of San Francisco. They combine elements of gypsy jazz, R&B, Tom Waits, hip hop, and sultry vocals to make a unique sound that suggests both a nineteen twenties night club and an outdoor roots music festival. Good time tunes, driven by a horn section, a great woman singer, and tasty guitar. Royal Jelly Jive’s release is called STAND UP. And one of the songs I like is called “Bad.” It is good. And it is on the radio this weekend.
