Elwood’s Blues Breaker: Rob Lumbard

Rob Lumbard has been playing the festivals and clubs and haunts of Central Iowa and beyond since the eighties, both as a band member, and most recently, as a very tasty solo performer. Rob is an encyclopedia of folk styles and can give you the blues, jazz or his own compositions at the drop of a hat, if you choose to drop one. He can offer old school finger picking a la Bill Broonzy or nasty slide, a la Johnny Winter. His latest CD, BLUES IN A BOTTLE, just took home the Blues Foundation’s best produced CD at this year’s International Blues Challenge. Here is Rob Lumbard and “Blues in a Bottle.”
