Under the Hood: Happy Birthday Larry Williams!

Like his friend, Little Richard, Larry Williams helped shape popular music in the 1950’s with a string of hits, including “Bonie Moronie,” “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy,” and “Dizzy Miss Lizzie.”  Also like Little Richard, Williams had a huge influence on the British rockers of the sixties, including the BeatlesJohn Lennon especially was a big fan.  He sang the version of “Dizzy Miss Lizzy” included on the Beatles’ HELP LP.  And here it is.
