Blues festival season is upon us once again. Elwood celebrates with music recorded live: Hendrix at Woodstock, the Who at the Isle of Wight. Then he welcomes Lisa Mann, bass player extraordinaire and longtime festival goer, to take us across the continent to some of the hundreds of festivals going on this summer. Hour 2: Selwyn Birchwood

Tampa, Florida’s own Selwyn Birchwood joins Elwood to play songs from his latest release, DON’T CALL NO AMBULANCE. He joins Elwood to talk about that, and about life leading up to winning the Albert King Award for Guitarist of the Year. Ears will be bent for his influences, Jimi Hendrix, Louis Walker, and Buddy Guy. Plus some fellow Florida musicians: The Tedeschi Trucks Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and JJ Grey.
