This Weekend in The BluesMobile: HowellDevine!

This week Elwood has lots of room for San Francisco-based Joshua Howell, the singer, guitar and harmonica player for the country blues band, HowellDevine. Their latest release is MODERN SOUNDS OF ANCIENT JUJU, on the legendary roots label, Arhoolie. It will be played, along with some Howell faves, including Sonny Boy Williamson, Sonny Terry, and Brownie McGhee. Also, other Bay Area bands will be showcased, including Creedence Clearwater Revival, Rick Estrin and the Nightcats, Joe Louis Walker, and the Grateful Dead. Finally, the Bluesmobile takes a wild turn to Toronto, for the latest from the jumping and jiving 24th Street Wailers.
