THIS WEEKEND: Halloween Blues!

Hour 1: Halloween Blues

The spirit of Halloween spooks the BluesMobile this week, and Elwood celebrates with scary music from the Black Keys, Joe Bonamassa, Tom Jones, the North Mississippi Allstars, BB King, Fantastic Negrito, Pokey LaFarge, and more. Plus brand new music from Texas Blues rocker Doyle Bramhall II.

Hour 2: More Halloween Blues

Relax.  It’s not scary scary.  Just scary good.  Elwood eases us into the Halloween spirit with Dr. John and the Blues Brothers Band, Sugar Pie DeSanto, John Mayall, John Fogerty, and Fleetwood Mac.  You get not one but two versions of a Blues classic, “I Ain’t Superstitious,” from the man who first laid it down, Howlin Wolf, and British guitar legend, Jeff Beck.  Also: two versions of “Black Magic Woman” the original from Fleetwood Mac, and the chartbuster from Santana.  All that, plus Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, and Bo Diddley.
