Elwood welcomes Don Was back to the show, to talk about BLUE AND LONESOME, the album of blues covers he produced with the Rolling Stones. Plus some other Don Was productions will be heard, with Ringo Starr, Elton John and Don Henley, Joe Cocker, and Solomon Burke. Also, some Howlin’ Wolf will be found in the mix, and the first album in ten years from Chicago’s own Ronnie Baker Brooks.

Hour 2: Bobby Rush

Now in his eighties, the great entertainer Bobby Rush is still going strong. A fantastic 4-CD tribute has been released. It is called CHICKEN HEADS. It will be played. Stories will be told. Bobby Rush joins Elwood. Also playing, some of the many greats Bobby Rush has known: Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Elmore James, BB King, Buddy Guy, Junior Parker…you get the picture.
