Hour 1: Bobby Rush

Fresh on the heels of his four CD career retrospective box set, CHICKEN HEADS, Bobby Rush returns to the Bluesmobile to tell us about his new release, PORCUPINE MEAT. He’s 83 and just getting started. He shares the hour with some Louisiana cohorts, Dr. John, The Meters, and Galactic, then Elwood turns to Bobby’s new CD of all original songs. Also, some BB King will be heard, and new music from child prodigy turned grown up guitar god, Eric Gales.

Hour 2: Ana Popović

Ana Popovic has a monster release out. Really! A three CD set called TRILOGY, music to keep you company morning noon and night. Ana joins Elwood to talk about it, and spin it. Plus, she offers her take on Jimi Hendrix, and a duet with James Bonamassa. Elwood also offers up three guitar gals to keep her company, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, and Brittany Howard (from the Alabama Shakes). Plus one of Ana’s heroes, BB King.
