Hank Mowery – “Spend a Little Time”

If you lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan back in the nineties, you know Hank Mowery. He was the general manager of the now defunct Rhythm Kitchen Café. Hank saw a lot of bands come through, and jammed with many of them. By and by, he decided to leave the restaurant, pick up his harmonicas, and hit the road. And it worked.

Hank won this year’s award for best self produced CD at the International Blues Challenge. The album, called ACCOUNT TO ME, is mainly a tribute to one of the musicians who used to pass through his café, the late harp player, Gary Primich.
