Johnny Winter turns seventy this weekend.  To celebrate, a four CD box set, TRUE TO THE BLUES, with dozens of tracks from his long career, in chronological order, including his Woodstock performance, a tune from his innovative first album, a live version of his personal favorite, “Highway 61 Revisited,” stuff with Muddy Waters, and live previously unreleased songs from the 1970 Atlanta International Pop Festival.   Tune in to hear an exclusive interview with Johnny live recorded backstage at BB King’s in New York.  The program concludes with some old school harmonica blues from the man they call Birdlegg.
