Eric Gales: Blues Breaker

Eric Gales was hailed as a child prodigy, recording his first album for Electra, when he was sixteen. Putting those days behind him, he has made dozens of records as a solo guitarist, and band member, not to mention session work and tributes.  He also has a second career as a rapper in his native Memphis, under the name Lil E.  Unusually, he is a right handed man who was taught to play guitar upside down by his left-handed brother. The album cover for this latest, MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, shows him sitting with his guitar in the middle of some railroad tracks. His distinctive style might be described as a middle ground between blues and rock. But that center can be a highly charged place to be. Hear for yourself. This is Eric Gales. “Change In Me.”
