Elwood’s Blues Breaker: “Yard Man” by Luther Dickinson
Luther Dickinson has a busy musical life. He has played with his father, legendary musician, Jim Dickinson, with his brother Cody, in the North Mississippi All Stars. Luther has promoted and boosted Mississippi blues in general, played down-and-dirty rock and roll, toured with the Black Crowes… And now he has a terrific album looking back on it all, and forward for more to come.
Called ROCK AND ROLL BLUES, the release is a largely acoustic and hugely heartfelt meditation on the ups and downs of life in music. It is wonderful. This one is called “Yard Man.”
