Elwood’s Blues Breaker: Luther Dickinson

Luther Dickinson is on the cutting edge of modern music.  And he is also squarely in the middle of several grand American musical traditions, both through his family and through his location, in the very heart of Mississippi. So it is fitting that Luther’s latest record, BLUES AND BALLADS, incorporates old and new, original and handed down, nasty and sweet, sacred and profane. Here, he gives us his take on what many of us might remember as the first off-color song we ever heard.   He’s cleaned it up for 21st Century radio, but it’s still nasty – in a good way, of course.  Luther Dickinson.  “Bang Bang Lulu.”
