Elwood’s Blues Breaker: Jordan Patterson “Don’t Take Me Down”

Jordan Patterson was born in Toronto in 1969, the youngest of nine children.  He first got into the blues thanks to his brother’s huge record collection.  He started out playing guitar but switched to harmonica.  Jordan broke out big time with his first release, GIVE ME A CHANCE, in 1996.  But he got tired of performing and the road, and focused more and more on promotion and artist management. Fast forward to 2013.  Jordan is at the funeral of guitar legend Bobby Parker, and a friend told him, “You know Jordan one day you’re going to have to prove that first record wasn’t a fluke.”   Well, he took it to heart.  His new release is called, appropriately, BACK ON TRACK. Here is Jordan Patterson with a hard driving song called “Don’t Take Me Down.”
