Elwood’s Blues Breaker: Cash Box Kings “Gotta Move Out to the Suburbs”

The Cash Box Kings are back, on their mission to keep old school Chicago blues alive and kicking. The King’s releases are great, and if you get a chance to see them live, they put on quite a show. The spirit of forties and fifties Chicago blues that will get you boogeying, plus some Delta blues, jump and jive, and New Orleans in there as well. Besides the rip roaring covers, the Cash Box Kings also write their own songs.  Songs that might have been written in the heyday of Chess or Sun Records. Great stuff. This is one of their new ones. Sad story. “Gotta Move Out to the Suburbs.” The Cash Box Kings. Play ‘em, and weep.
