Elwood Looks at Blues Festivals in Europe

Elwood’s annual overview of blues festivals casts an eye to Europe this time around.

This weekend on the Radio Show, Elwood is joined by Kaati Gaffney, publisher of Blues Festival Guide to talk about this summer’s blues festivals in Europe.  The big one is Montreux in Switzerland.  You will hear Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, and Junior Wells, recorded there live.  Then, some of the Americans you might hear this summer in Italy, Norway, Germany, on the sea,:  Eric Bibb, Kent Burnside, the Royal Southern Brotherhood, Gregg Allman, Lucky Peterson, Coco Montoya… plus new music from Luther Dickinson.
