Doyle Bramhall II: Blues Breaker

Doyle Bramhall the second’s father, Doyle Bramhall, was a drummer and songwriter, who carved a big niche for himself in Texas, playing with everybody. Now his guitar-toting son carries the torch for Texas blues.  When he was just 18, Doyle number 2 toured with the Fabulous Thunderbirds.  Before he was 30 he’d made his first solo album, and backed both Pink Floyd and Eric Clapton.  These days Doyle’s either playing for himself, or traveling with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Now he has released his 4th studio album, all original songs except for a cover of a song by his fellow left handed guitar man, Jimi Hendrix.  Here is one of his highly originals.  Doyle Bramhall II and “Mama Can’t Help You.”
