Delbert McClinton: Blues Breaker

Let me tell you about Delbert McClinton. He’s been around the block a few times – back in the Sixties, the Beatles opened for HIM. And legend has it he taught John Lennon how to play harmonica. Well, Delbert McClinton, harmonica man, songwriter and soul singer, is back. The raspy voice, the great taste in rhythm and blues.  This time around he throws a little more jazz, pop, and big band into the sound. His road band, Self-Made Men, join him for the new release… PRICK OF THE LITTERAnd our pick off Prick features two old Texas music mates, Jimmie Vaughan, on guitar and Lou Ann Barton on vocal. It’s a sad yet funky tale of roads taken, but maybe shouldn’t have been. Delbert McClinton. “Don’t Do It.”
