Curtis Salgado: Blues Breaker

As a teenager, soul singer Curtis Salgado taught himself harmonica.  Before long he had his own band in the Pacific Northwest.  His style became an inspiration for Jake and the Blues Brothers. Curtis hooked up with blues legend Robert Cray for a while, and toured with Steve Miller, then in 2006, he got cancer.  He waged a battle with that enemy for six years, and is now not only recuperated, but on fire. His latest is called THE BEAUTIFUL LOWDOWN.  Here is Curtis Salgado, complete with horn section, searing guitar, and soulful vocals.  “Ring Telephone Ring.”
