Now in his eighties, the great entertainer Bobby Rush is still going strong. A fantastic 4-CD tribute has just been released. It is called CHICKEN HEADS. It will be played. Stories will be told. Bobby Rush joins Elwood. Also playing, some of the many greats Bobby Rush has known: Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Elmore James, BB King, Buddy Guy, Junior Parker…you get the picture. Also new music from the great Chicago blues group, the Nick Moss Band.

HOUR 2: Back to School Blues

Go back to school, kids, with Elwood, and some old school blues. He’s got Otis Redding, Chuck Berry, Louis Jordan, Sonny Boy Williamson and Rod Stewart (with two versions of “Good Morning Little School Girl” for you to compare) John Lee Hooker, Saffire, the Stray Cats, Guitar Shorty, the Slide Brothers, Gary U.S. Bonds, and more.
