Billy Branch “Baby Let Me Butter Your Corn”

Elwood’s Blues Breaker – Harmonica man Billy Branch was born in Great Lakes, Illinois in 1951.  His family moved to LA, but he moved back to Chicago when he was eighteen to go to college, and to deliver the Chicago blues.  And man has he delivered.  After being discovered by Willie Dixon in 1969, Branch has played on over a hundred and fifty records, both on his own, and backing up musical legends like Johnny Winter, Lou Rawls, and Taj Mahal.  BLUES SHOCK is Billie’s first studio album with his band Sons of the Blues, in over ten years.  He remains the reigning king of Chicago Blues harmonica.
