Aki Kumar: Blues Breaker

Aki Kumar left his home in Mumbai to come to America, and work as a software engineer in Silicon Valley.  But then he discovered the blues.  And he picked up the harmonica.  He studied the masters, from Chicago and beyond, ultimately earning praise and fans along the way. Aki Kumar’s latest release is a mashup of the American blues he has come to love, and the Indian pop music he grew up with.  Really really really hot stuff.  The CD is called AKI GOES TO BOLLYWOOD.  This tune is both Indian and American.  Anything you want to call it, it is a barn burner.  This is “Badan Pe Sitaare.”
